Baby Clothes Quilt Finished, and Pretzel Progress

I finished the Baby Clothes quilt the other day. I am very, very pleased with the result.

More importantly, so is the recipient. The back is simple cream cotton. After attaching the binding on the front, I snipped it close so it's 1/4" leaving the back binding a bit broader, closer to 3/4". I like the look of it, given the front is so busy it doesn't interfere, but with the wide expanse of cream it really sets is off.

I would really love to do more of these. It 'fills me up' so to speak.

Alas, the Pretzel Party. Still not a party, but at least I have a layout I'm happy with.

I've started putting it together, but the hexagons are proving quite a challenge! It's a lot to try and line up. Perhaps a good night's sleep will help me with the mechanics of this. I would love to finish the top tomorrow, but I doubt that will happen!

...

Got three miles in on the treadmill today. I'm longing for the day I can go out and just run, but the negative temperatures aren't for me. I'm aiming for the OKC 1/2 Marathon the last weekend in April.

The baby clothes quilt is GORGEOUS. Absolutely beautiful. I am so happy the recipient is happy. :)

Good job on the run. I know it is not as fun as running outside, but it gets you moving, right?

I am looking forward to April!!

Beautiful quilt! after you piece it and put it all together, do you actually quilt stitch the top, or do you tie it? either way, beautiful!
