For the most part, each kit is responsible for cleaning his or her own room. Our usual routine is to tackle them Thursday. The goal is to keep them clean, but... well... you know.
Yesterday the weather was so, so nice. Once the kids got home from school, they bolted outside. I didn't have the heart to pull them inside and clean their rooms.

I know I'm not the only parent out there that has kids' rooms that look like this. I hope.

The Boy's room is smaller so it looks messy. Me, not so much about making him clean it.
Uh, *my* room is messy :)
Uh, yeah. My 8 year old's room is a disaster, and drives me crazy. We had gorgeous weather this past weekend, and like you, I didn't have the heart to make her stay inside and clean it.
oh god no. I declutter every other week and it takes a good two hours just to move everything back to its proper place/room.
heck those rooms ARE clean to me
