I'm not sure what you like to read but I very much enjoyed Late Nights on Air by Elizabeth Hay. (It's about a radio station up north.) It just seems to flow nicely and the characters are very engaging...
loving frank
Anything by Jhumpa Lahiri:
Interpreter of Maladies (collection of short stories)
The Namesake
Unaccustomed Earth (short stories)
I saw some intriguing books in Sunday's NYTimes Book Review:

If you want a fast read that is very humerous, try:
1. The Devil in the Junior League by Linda Fancis Lee
2. Beyond the Blonde
by Kathleen Flynn-Hui
(The titles alone are hilarious!)
Enjoy!
Water for Elephants
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close
The Red Tent
Time Traveler's Wife
Lovely Bones
Thanks all!
I made my list and am heading to the library today!
