Odds and Ends

It's already Monday, and I'm tying up loose ends from the weekend.

I finished the apron. I'm not sure if I love it or hate it. Doesn't matter... It's in the mail.
Speaking of in the mail. Anne. I swear. The blanket went in the mail. Today.

The weather was pretty nice this weekend - high 20's. Sunday I went for a jog and only needed a long sleeve shirt, lightweight sweatshirt, and capri lenght running pants. It was lovely. Except all the melting snow, and insuing ice as it cooled down for the night.

The kids made it outside quite a bit. I'm pretty sure I'm in trouble.

It's hard to see here, but The Boy packed snow for his own ramps. Oy.

My neice and nephew are getting ready to turn one. For the occasion, Crazy Auntie made them frog hats:

My oldest was getting ready for bath, put in on, and started dancing around the house. Quite amusing. Nothing says "Happy Birthday" like a frog hat.

Sunday The Boy learned how to make French toast. "All I want to do is help you," he proclaimed.

And the Market Bags?

That's my project for this week. My husband will be gone Tuesday through Friday, so I should be able to get quite a few done. I think I've made a enough changes so as not to disturb any copyright issues. I hope.

For the most part, I think I finally have the magic formula... Stay tuned!

Loralee was wondering how much they could hold:

The one on the left does not have boxed corners, the one on the right does. For the most part, they can hold a lot. The only 'resistance' I've gotten from using them is the checker hands me the stuff so fast I have a hard time not just throwing it in the bag.

Here's what was in the bags:

2 shirts, swimsuit, beach towel, four Smart One's, nail polish, carmex, two (three if you count the bologna) packages of meat, Nutrigrain waffles, bacon, cinnamon rolls in a tube, fourpack of biscuits in tubes, contact solution, cottage cheese, American cheese slices, and English muffins. The dividing line between what was in each bag is the Smart Ones and the waffles.

The bags hold a lot, it's just the stuff came at me so fast. Maybe I'm just slow. Or I need to find another place to shop. With that statement alone my Husband is practically giddy. Do you even know how much we'd save if I didn't go into Target?

Here in the next couple of days I'll have some ready for Market. Now... If I could only figure out how much to charge.

It's always reassuring to see what others buy!

Snow & Ice everywhere & 35 deg! How far did you run?

What is it with the Twin Cities, no one bags the groceries...I don't miss that at all. Everyone bags here (madison).

I think the apron is cute btw...

The apron rocks! And the frog hat is adorable - but Big Girl is even cuter:)

Those hold way more than I thought that they would! I don't know if I could do "Big Shopping" with them (I would need a billion bags) but they would be great to take to the store on quicker trips.

I think "someone" might need a couple or three, adult sized frog hats. Not "me" of course.

Just wonderin.

Mitzi - I do feel a little naked. Especially now that everyone's seen my bacon.

Tree- I did six. I was planning farther, but I waited too long to start and the trail was starting to ice back up.

Jenny - Oh, they do bag the groceries at most places (or at least Target). Thanks - the apron's growing on me.

BlueBella - thanks. I think she's pretty neat.

Loralee - It surprised me how much they could hold. I'm with you on the big trip. They're really nice for the 'midweek' run to the store.

Bryan - I could make one (or three) for you. Just email me what color - green, brown, blue, whatever - and we can talk price...
