Follow-through

This may very well be the most boring post ever. But... I promised pictures...

First: Making butter. As you can see, Belle is helping, and The Boy is not very enthusiastic about having his picture taken. They opted to quit 3/4 of the way through, but I finished by using the mixer. Viola - butter from cream. Very good on cinnamon raisin toast

Second: What I look Like at the Gym. Avert your eyes! It is taken from the vantage point of a four year old. Hard to see, but it's a road race shirt from 1999 - happens to be from my Dad's last marathon. It's one of my favorites. Also, I've got on my high school track pants. The lining's getting a little thin, and I can't get them on and off without taking off my shoes anymore, for fear of tearing, but they've worn pretty well. I'm about ready to delete this because I think I look heavier than normal, but I realize it's just the sports bras I've got on. Yep, I said bras - two of them - otherwise I'd have two black eyes and bruised belly button. Not the greatest look but going to the gym isn't a fashion show.

Finally: Mmm... Chocolate peppermint pinwheels. I'm not telling how many I ate. Yes, I know I bitch about my weight out of one side of my mouth while shoving a Bacon Crisp in the other. I get it. Right now I'm on a "as long as I get four workouts in a week I'm not worrying too much about what I'm eating" kick. That should last until about January 2nd.

Okay, the boy has this look on his face like he's been sold into indentured servitude and has been chained to the kitchen table by a cruel taskmaster who is making him churn butter.

Good job, mom! I like your way of thinking.

Now, when are you coming to my house to train Monkey Man how to make those pinwheels?????

Oh, I made the cookies, YUM-O as Rachel Ray would say. Perfect for the cookie exchange in the neighborhood tomorrow night--thanks for the reminder!
