Bacon Crisps (updated!)

What's in my oven (thank you Paula Deen):

1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan
1 sleeve buttery rectangular crackers (I used Club)
1 pound sliced bacon, cut in 1/2

Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F. Place 1 teaspoon of the cheese on each cracker and wrap tightly with a strip of bacon. Place the wrapped crackers on a broiler rack on a baking sheet and put the baking sheets on the oven rack. Bake for 2 hours, or until the bacon is done. Do not turn. Drain on paper towels. Serve hot or at room temperature Cook's note: You can also bake at 350 degrees F for 40 minutes if you're in a hurry!

Update: If you like cheese and bacon, these treats are for you. I made another half recipe so as not to embarass myself with the amount I ate hot out of the oven. I will be making them again.

i love paula. ben and i have created a paula deen drinking game--every time she adds a stick of butter to something, you have to drink.

Hmmm, what the blazes are "buttery rectangular crackers/Club"... Me and Jo are intrigued by this recipie, but not sure what the crackers are - or if they're even available over here! hehe

Unless of course they are what we call Jacobs Cream Crackers.

It's like you're speaking another language ;)
