It's distance, not time...

So after a two week hiatus, I made it back to the gym. Nothing spectacular - punished the treadmill with three miles, and about 15 minutes of weights.

I spent nap time creating a calendar and plotting how in the world I'll do a marathon. Plan - next two weeks, just get to the gym 4 out of 7 days. The next 8 weeks, do a 10k training program to get up to speed. From then on, it's the 18 week marathon plan. Maybe, just maybe, I'll be ready by June.

Good Job, G! Sometimes, what our body and brain need is some downtime to recuperate and regenerate.

There is also a 3 day/wk marathon training program called the Furman program. I have known people who have successfully followed this program.

I know you can do it.
