Who Says You Can't Go Home?

Spent the last two days at my parents. Husband was out of town, and I saw no reason to enjoy the kids all by myself for four days.

They were delighted to see us. Absolutely delighted.

We had a trip to the local craft store. Kids each got a container of Floam. Let me tell you... that stuff is pretty cool. Kids really liked it too. They also got some giant stamps and a kit to make something out of Plaster of Paris. I think they liked going with Grandma, versus Mom. Mom would have said "pick one" - Grandma said, here's your bag. Fun though, kids really got into all of it.

Yesterday morning we headed of to the Ledges State Park. I loved going there as a kid. The neat-o thing about this park is the water runs over the road. A portion of the path was closed to vehicles due to high water, but like the good troopers we are, we walked. The kids loved splashing in the water and exploring nature. Unfortunatly, I forgot my camera, but will take it next time.

It was so relaxing to be at my parents. Today I need to catch up on laundry and mow. Back, again, to reality.
