Fabric to me is like crack to Amy Winehouse

Do you suppose there is a twelve step program for fabric addicts?

Really.

I went in today to pick up some muslin for a quilt.

Simple enough, except it's a new quilt.

I've decided to join Amanda Jean in her second quilt along. I thought it would be a good way to work out some of my stash. Except I needed some background fabric. For me, I like muslin. It's cheap (relatively speaking) and I love the feel to it. Very homespun.

Without further ado... Here is my first square (not yet trimmed).

Don't look too close. This is my first attempt at triangles. And her quilt-along? It's all stars - or triangles. If that doesn't get me over the fear, I don't know what will.

And in other news.

While I was at the fabric store, I came across these...

They all screamed - "Take me home! Wash me! Iron Me! Love me!"

Now... What to do with them.

where do you shop for fabric? I love your choices...and I have the same problem. It's getting to the point that if I know i need fabric and my friend can run the errand and she is going anyway, I'll have her pick some up for me, too. If I go in the store, it gets too expensive! :)

The top three would make a lovely quilt if you have enough??? I would gladly find a home for it....

Seriously, those fabrics are luscious.

I am a fabric addict to. I love to thumb through stacks of fat quarters and pick out random prints with no plans for using them anytime soon. I love the title of your blog. I keep hearing, "They try to make me go to fabric rehab, I say no no no." Tour first quilt square is pretty.
