Fake it 'till you make it...

That pretty much describes my sewing - for the most part, I have no idea what I'm doing!

I ended up with a finished product I'm pretty pleased with. I had to work with the fact that I'd already cut most of the fabric, so it isn't quite what I had in mind, but close.

Once I got going, it didn't take me nearly as long as I thought it would.

For the most part, I don't work with patterns - I just think about what I want the finished product to look like, and work back. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. When I sew, my seam ripper is usually about six inches from my right hand.

I like the idea of a kid's version of this...
