Back to our regularly scheduled programming...
I don't know what else to say about the bridge collapse. It is unnerving and strange, and knowing that it took place less than 20 miles from my house is just a bit weird. There are people that were much closer to it than me. My neighbor, thinking he was late, headed to the ball park for the Twins-Royals game. He had just crossed the bridge when he looked at his watch and realized it was wrong - an hour early. Had he left at the 'right' time, he could very well have been smack on the bridge.
Otherwise, I'm trying - as usual - to keep the news to a minimim around the house. No sense in worrying the kids more than necessary.
Today we decided to blow off some steam and head out the the pool - excuse me - the new fitness-center outdoor water facility. Since we're not members, we had to each pay the $5 admission. The tile floors and marble tables were beautiful. The fresh oversized towels smelled wonderful. There were plenty of chairs and tables for our stuff. It was so comfortable and the kids had a great time. I met another neighbor, her three kids, and three other moms and their kids. Makes for a big group, but we stick with the buddy system.
Really, it was just what I needed - a little sunshine.
I've been a bit in the dumps lately, and can't quite put my finger on it. I've started running again, so it's not that. I had a great visit with my parents. The summer is going just fine, so it's not that. I started another new quilt, but I'm not quite happy with how it's turning out. I feel like a whiner for even bringing it up. I just am so... bland. Hopefully soon it will turn back around.

End of the summer blues? I know I've got them knowing that I have to return to work after my maternity leave soon.
Hugs girl.
I have something I have been working on that will hopefully cheer you up.
You know, I vote for the end of summer blues. Or the "I'm sick of summer blues" more appropriately.
(((((((((HUGS)))))))))
Think that in less than 10 wks, we will be running together in gorgeous Denver with dry, crisp, autumn air. To be followed by a beverage of your choice.
Yeah! Drinks at my place!!!
