Ebb and Flow
"Hold me Mama!"
"Carry me Mamma!"
"I want to sit on your lap!"
I can not hold this child enough right now. She woke up at 7:15 am; it is nearing 10 am. With the exception of going to the bathroom, which she stood there and cried, she's been in my arms, or my lap, all morning.

It's just a phase, I know. She does find time to do well enough without me. She's fine at the gym nursery. She's fine when the other two are home (the boy's playing at the neighbors). She's fine with her best little friend in the cul-de-sac.
But right now. She's all over me. She's sitting on the desk, leaning into me as if to prove that two objects can occupy the same space at the same time. Occasionally, I think we're breathing the same air.
I know, soon enough it will end. And I will miss it.

I'm so jealous. My daughter is attached to my husband like that instead of me. When she falls down, she pushes me aside and runs to him. When she wants to snuggle, she goes to him. It's because he is more indulgent than I am, and because he gets to spend more time with her than I do. But still. Sniff.
