Oy, my aching belly...

We traveled to the InLaws Friday afternoon/night. It can be a six hour trip, but our was longer this time. Dropped my husband off so he could have a quick meeting with a business associate, and I hauled the kids to BK play place. The kids were a hot, sweaty mess when we loaded them back up, but the final three hours of the trip went very fast as they zoned out to a movie.

Saturday morning, we got up bright and early (ok, about 9) and headed out to breakfast. The Corner Cafe specializes in biscuits and gravy. And giant cinnamon rolls. An scrambled eggs with cheese. And. Grits. Couldn't eat too heavy of breakfast as I was meeting Mitzi for lunch. I settled for a 'small' order of biscuits and gravy. We met up at an all you can eat Indian buffet. About every other time I come and visit, we head out to lunch. Met her there at 11:15, and proceeded to eat. And eat. And finish with a bowl of Kheer.

Sunday morning (11 am) we headed off to the brunch at Bushwood. Fruit, pancakes, french toast, biscuits and gravy, 'homestyle' potatoes, roast beef, and made to order omelets. Sunday night we took the kids, and some friends and their kids to the Mexican Place Where I Always Over Eat. Four adults, five kids, and every one behaved beautifully. Really. We left, you guessed it, full.

I was supposed to meet the friend from last night for lunch, but unfortunately, other plans were made. That's ok, we'll go either tomorrow or Wednesday.

This afternoon I'm headed off to Opening Day. The food there is unbelievable. Barbecue, Barbecue, Barbecue. Oh. And a funnel cake.

Wonder why midwesterners are over weight...

we're overweight because WE EAT TOO DAMNED MUCH.

but isn't that indian buffet totally worth going up one pants size?

Good breakfasts and samosas are hard to resist my friend. By the way I haven't forgotten about the curtains, I'm just lazy or have ADD cause I haven't done it.
