Hump Day

Take this job and shove it.

Meredith, you lost me. Comparing me to a babysitter? Thanks. Thanks alot. Not only that, but you're pushing a wedge between moms even farther. One glass of wine? Maybe once a week? With friends? If you can tell me the difference between a that and having a neighborhood barbeque, with not only beer, but fire, I'd be happy to look at your side of the issue. Until then. Just stop.

Don't forget your mittens!

This time of year, my hands get dry. Itchy, scratchy, bleeding knuckles dry. I'm working on putting lotion on after most every time I wash my hands, but that's 'hard.' Hard being I wash them about 382 times a day and planning 15 seconds for the task, that equals well over an hour of just lotion. I don't have time for that. Ha. My mom suggested that I wear gloves when I go outside. I know I should. Eh, maybe I'll stick with the lotion.

Big find at Target.

Was at Target the other day. In the boys' sock section, I came across a rack of baby stuff. Cheap. Like 75% off cheap. Classic Pooh and Amy Coe. Pretty stuff. In size 0-3 months. Receiving blankes and hoodie towels. Plain white onesies. Bought a load for my sister.

Mostly boy's stuff, but some girl. At this point, it's looking like she'll be a single mom of twins.

Mittens... schmittens! Dry cracked hands are a sure sign of sterile, well washings digits. I wear my bleeding paws like a badge of honor... I'm in pain but I'm clean!

Oh, yeah, almost forgot...SHUT UP MEREDITH! Take a Xanax and chill!

I have been trying to be good about wearing gloves, but my hands still crack and bleed sometimes. I just started using "Sugeon's Secret" hand cream before I go to sleep every night. It seems to work. I think it has silicone in it or something similar that doesn't make it come right off. I got mine through QVC. Might be worth a try. The cracked and bleeding hands are one of the 5,293 reasons that I effing hate winter.

Wow, what a haul from Target!

I swear by the Cetaphil lotion in the tub - not the bottle. My dermatologist recommended it when I had that weird rash thing that wouldn't go away, and it does a great job of trapping the moisture in your skin, doesn't feel greasy, and doesn't stink. Win win!

No kidding on that silly article - I, GASP, regularly serve beer at Declan's birthday parties. Even if they, GASP, start at 11am! (The beer being for the adults of course... the kids get mixed drinks with juice in them).
