Sew Connected 3

Earlier in the year, I joined a block swap. Having never done one before, I was a bit nervous. I mean, what if they didn't like my work? What if it wasn't good enough?

Every month, one or two people send out fabric with instructions. Some are vague: have fun with the fabric. Some are much more specific. July's quilter wants to make a string quilt.

After making the four squares, I just couldn't decide how to put the fabric together.

Exhibit A:

Exhibit B: My parents are visiting. My dad thinks he's funny. He really is, just not at midnight when I'm trying to take pictures with the camera on my phone because I can't find my other one.

Ok. Exhibit B:
Finally: Exhibit C.

After putting it all together, this is the one I liked the best.
It's been really fun and pushing me outside of my quilt comfort zone. Can't wait for my month!

I like #3 too, but I also really like the scrappyness of #2. I have to get started on this one too, just as soon as i finish For the Journey's.

Here via Hallie. How much would you charge for a Monkey blanket like the one you sent her? I would LOVE to have one for my daughter. I've made her some sock monkey's and she just loves them, but a quilt maker I am not! LOL
