I don't know, but by Mid-March shouldn't the temperature be out of the negative digits? Right?!?

...

With all that's been going on, and the recent time change, I've been sorely lacking in sleep.

Today, after dragging my sorry butt out of bed, driving the kids to school, and getting back home, I did something I needed.

I crawled back in bed and slept for two hours.

...

The kids and I had lettuce salad with dinner. I'm looking for some topping ideas - we had cherry tomatoes, feta cheese, and a balsamic vinaigrette dressing. What are some other things your kids (or you!) like on salad? I worry that if this winter doesn't end soon, we'll be dealing with scurvy.

Throw some canned tuna in there as well maybe? A very large salad like you described was always a big hit with my family.

I can't stand that vinigrette crap. What happened to NORMAL dressings? Grrr.

I LOVE salads. Toppings include hard boiled eggs, grilled and chopped bacon, avocado, mango and chilli salad dressing, prawns, any kind of marinated chicken breast shredded and sprinkled. Celery salt is luscious too.

Ooo, what else? Croutons, nuts and raisins. You can put whatever you like on a salad.

Garbanzo beans, black beans, corn, kidney beans, bean sprouts or alfafa sprouts, definitely some chicken. Maybe mandarin oranges and fried noodles.

Yummmy salad.

i've been very into this one lately: baby spinach, red onion, chopped hard-boiled egg (whites only for me), finely chopped jalapeno (for some ZING!), bacon bits and raspberry or cranberry balsamic dressing. yeah. i'm turning into popeye. TOOT TOOT!

Bacon. Definitely - bacon. BACON! baconbaconbacon.

Oh - and toasted pine nuts.

And LOTS of grapefruit and oranges and lemons and citrusy stuff to overcome the scurvy.
