Oh the weather outside is frightful...

But finishing a project is so delighful.

The kids woke up to 4" - 6" of the white fluffy stuff.

The plow made the middle of the cul-de-sac pile. It won't be gone now until mid-May. Yes, winter is here.

I did manage to very nearly finish a project. All it needs is a label and a quick run through the wash. As my first commissioned quilt, I'm really excited how it turned out:

In some ways, I'm more delighted with the back:

The binding came from my stash. It's four different reds. I think it really makes the quilt pop.

The quilt's name is "Almanzo Wilder" - the buyer wanted a manly quilt. Get it? Laura Ingalls called Almanzo "Manly"... Get it? Is this thing on?

As a treat to myself for finishing a project - I've got the red fabric in the washer for my red and white quilt. I've been wanting to do one for a while, and I'm using it as an exercise in only using stash fabric.
