Finished and started

It doesn't matter that I've got a list of things to do, sometimes I just need to start a new project.

Vintage fabric and feed sacks.

Nine patches.

Put together as an Irish Chain. Easy peasy. And although I wanted to just have a two color quilt, I changed my mind and am going to back it in brown.

Finished quilts:
Moda's Peace on Earth line. I love these fabrics and will use them again.

What's not to love?

This is my first experience with a charm pack. Love it.

And this one? It's been haunting me from my dining room. I took it to the post office Saturday to be mailed. After I found out how much they wanted to ship it, I promptly took it home.

The main factor was the size of the box. Today's mission is to find a smaller box that doesn't totally squish it. And costs less to ship!

Wow! Those are amazing. I love all three of them.

What's a charm pack?

And when is one of these going on Etsy so I can go shopping!

Hope you are not too buried under snow.

As an Ebay craft seller that was always my biggest challenge, the shipping. The USPS raised their rates SO much when they realized that E-bay and internet sales were such a revenue. It's not even cost effective to ship anything now.

BEAUTIFUL QUILTS!!

you know I love your stuff but that white and red one is gorgeous... reminds me of a quilt my grandmother made many many moons ago... wonder if my mom still has it.

Do you have an Etsy shop?

Thanks all!

Eve, I do have an etsy shop. If you're interested in something, please feel free to drop me an email: swiperbootsdora @ gmail . com - I love the challenge of a custom order!

Joansy - A charm pack is 40 5"x5" squares of one group of fabric. The charm pack for this came from Moda's "Peace on Earth" line. The jelly roll as well. Love the fabrics - good quality and yummy colors.

Dysd - shipping rate are horrendous - I need to see where UPS stands for rates!

Nat - thanks! All the fabric is vintage and from my neighbor's MIL's basement. My neighbor is helping her hoarding MIL clean out her basement. She brings me the fabric. It's a win-win situation!

Mrs. G- thanks! I finally feel like I've found something I'm supposed to be doing. Until the next great thing comes along!
