Riding the wave

With all that's been going on, I've had a rather hard time sleeping. Given the circumstances (funeral then the in laws) and Not My Own Bed, I'm getting rather grumpy.

Transformed from the Weepy Wife to Grumpy Girl, it has not been easy.

Last night I tried Tylenol PM.

Can I just say that it is The Best? Over the counter that is.

I slept last night, and dare I say, woke up refreshed?

Still a little grumpy. But not the prickly, ouchy, overly sensitive person I've been for the last few days. Well, no so much.

----

Yesterday I took off to visit my pal Mitzi. I had offered to recover her glider rocker cushions, and just happened to bring my sewing machine. It was a quick and easy project, and there was Maggie Moos involved. Who doesn't turn down ice cream? Especially Chocolate Peanut Butter ice cream with Reece's Peanut Butter Cups mixed in... And unlike Mitzi, I slept just fine last night.

---

It seems strange not to include any pictures. I didn't bring my camera cable, and prefer not to download the bazillion pictures from my camera onto my in laws computer anyway.

It also seems strange not to blog about my latest craft. I mean I worked yesterday day on a frog hat, but not to document it other than in passing is strange for me.

----

Yesterday afternoon I took off and walked JoAnn's for over an hour. It was a nice change of pace. Rather than rushing in and grabbing what I need, I took my time and looked over several projects I'd like to do in the future. I also nabbed a book on "Stash" quilts. Stash quilts are generally made with what you already have, or left overs from another project. While reading it, I can't help but think of my pal Aimee. The book talks a lot about color and value, and I wish we were closer, because I know she'd be great at it. As soon as I finish a couple other projects, I'd like to attempt one.

Not much else. I can't quite figure out what the 'plan' is for the day. I'm sure all will be revealed in due time. Until then. Patience.

And yes, Builder Mama, there is plenty of booze involved. Promise.

I use Tylanol PM, but I always wake up feeling groggy afterwards.

so is that why i feel like ass and generally hate the world and everything in it? because i'm not sleeping more than a few hours a night? i certainly prefer that explanation to "because you're crazy."

Whew, I was worried that you weren't able to imbibe!

I like a few Benadryl for sleeping. Tylenol PM scares me for some reason, but then again I won't take Nyquil either. I'm a wimp!

Advil PM is even better when you get those aches and pains.

I'm with you on the Tylenol PM. It can make a huge difference sometimes.

I want to see Mitzi. And you. I'll bring Billy's surger, but you have to plug it in as I have not a single clue. Someday.
