Where did the day go?

I mean really.

It was a teacher inservice today - meaning all three kids, all day. All day.

The did a good job entertaining themselves while I started (and nearly finished) a project. We went to BK for lunch. Then to two craft stores in search of some elusive yarn. Didn't find it, but did find some others on sale. Whoo!

Now were home, and they're valiantly trying to help clean up. The Boy vacuumed the kitchen, then mopped it. I explained - again - that you get a better mop job if you vacuum the big chunks up first. He just wants to mop. The Big Girl's been a giant help - finishing one task then asking for another. I think I'm living in the twilight zone, except #3 is zoned out on the couch nagging for candy. That's more like it.

One of my projects on my docket is to make "market" totes - rather than using paper or plastic. Now... My 'issue' is that we re-use the plastic for trash can liners. I'm looking for something more eco-friendly to bag our trash with. Any suggestions?

My parents are on their way up... I'm making sure the laundry's done. My mom really likes to fold...

Have a great weekend all!

I made quite a few cloth shopping bags earlier this year---I call them BYOB's (bring-your-own-bags) and I think it is great you are doing this!

I think the eco-drive is going global. I've got some really cut little 'bags in bags' I carry around in my purse so I don't have to use plastic ones. As for re-using them for bin liners - I do the same, but I think you can get biodegradable ones for that.
