Fabric!

Being Friday was payday, I headed off to the craft store. I immediately fell in love with the middle fabric and bought all they had. The left? It struck me - especially after I found some striking green edging - perfect for a little girl apron. The right? It arrived in the mail yesterday.

Reprodepot.com. What would I do without you?

I love this fabric. It's a decent weight cotton, and yummy to the touch. Not the mention the pattern. My favorite square? Check out one of the red ones - no, it's not the milk or spaghetti.

I'm not quite sure what to do with it. I have three yards. Any suggestions?

I did finish two projects yesterday. Go me. The first being a scarf - a really, really long scarf - for a neighbor.

Yet another yarn "I Love." Wool - perfect for the felted coasters I want...

It's really easy enough:

Felted Coaster
Sc 4, sl st closed.
Chain 2. Counts as 1st dc.
Work 11 dc around, total of 12.
Sl st closed.
Chain 2. Counds as 1st dc.
Work 1 dc in same sp as ch 2.
Work 2 dc in each sp, total 24, sl st and work end in.

After the crochet, before the felting. Really pretty now, but the weave's pretty open and they're reather flimsy.

After washing twice in hot water, and then drying. I had to press and press these with the iron, but I'm pleased with the final result.

Now... Back to the fabric... Right after I finish loading a few etsy things.

That is adorable! I have been lusting for their fabric for some time. But so far it's an unrequited love.

Make some placemats?

I'm not sure how many aprons a girl needs (because I don't love to cook) but that fabric screams apron to me.

That middle fabric is absolutely wonderful!

The one on the right would make an awesome apron, I agree. The one on the left is so pretty!

Yep, definitely apron material (oops, didn't mean to make a pun).

What about kitchen towels? Or cloth napkins?
