Where do you go?

Lately, I've been romanticizing farm life. Or should I say acerage life. I don't want a farm with cows and such, or corn or beans. Maybe a cat or two. Or even a dog.

Instead, an old house with maybe an outbuilding or two. Something to fix up. Restore. A place for a garden. A grove, a glen, a prairie, a pond. A place to stretch out.

I can see it in my mind. Big wrap-around porch, peaked attic with windows. White. Long driveway paved with maples that go brilliant red in the fall.

Where do you go when you daydream? Who do you see? What do you do?

My "dreams" are a lot like yours. I don't want to deal with animals or crops, but a wide open area seems wonderful. A long driveway hidden by trees sounds lovely, too!

I'd love to have a place with some water around it again - our last house had a little creek in the backyard and it was so peaceful to go sit back there on the rocks and watch the leaves float by. I love our house now, but I do love me some water.

LOL - mitzi - I *live* in FL, minutes from the beach, in a house with a lanai and a pool, where it never snows.
What do I fantasize about? Living in a big house on open land where the seasons change and Fall and Winter are more than just on TV. And...where my kids can play in SNOW.

1/2 the time I am at the beach, the other half I am on the farm too...

frying chicken, letting the kids run and play without hollering, stay on the grass, look out for cars...
