Rock On

The weekend went by in a blur.

The concert was at Chastain Park Amphitheater. There are no bad seats. The seating was such that at the main level, and halfway up, there were tables. We saw everything from sushi and chopsticks to a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken. Our spread was more liquid. Margarita, SoBe and vodka, and the uber-hip Mojito. We did have some cheese and crackers. Many tables were covered in tablecloths, candles, and flowers. Truly the most interesting venue I've been to.

The concert was amazing. Collective Soul opened with a couple new songs, then out came the Atlanta Youth Symphony Orchestra. Here is a sample of some of their music (click on either the quicktime video or the Track Listing on the left side for just the music). I they did one cd with the orchestra titled "Home", and haven't played with them since.

The kids received a very warm reception from the crowd.

Recognize the kid in the back row?

It was something to see the kids having such a great time. I couldn't get over that these kids very well may have been made fun of for being in the orchestra. Yea. Not that night.

Had fun with my husband, as well. Lots of fun...
